There are also a few things you should know and do even if you are considering an abortion.

• You should have your pregnancy confirmed with a lab quality pregnancy test which Compassion Women’s Center will do free of charge at our Claremore, Oklahoma, office. One of our trained consultants can then answer your questions and assist you as you move forward in weighing all your pregnancy options.

• It is necessary that you have an ultrasound to confirm the safety and viability (baby is capable of living) of your pregnancy. An ultrasound will confirm how far along you are in your pregnancy, and it will show if the baby is safe for you to carry. [1] Additionally, Oklahoma Law (Title 62 O.S. §1-738.3d) requires you have an ultrasound before you can have an abortion. Compassion Women’s Center can schedule a free ultrasound for you.

• It is important to know that no one can force you to have an abortion, not your boyfriend, your husband or even your parents. [2] You can even change your mind while at the abortion clinic. You do not have to go through with the procedure. Do not let anyone make a decision for you that will affect you the rest of your life.
